Donations
The English Speaking Union (Queensland Branch) Ltd relies on the generous support of corporate and individual donors. The ESU invites individuals and organisations to support the ESU’s important role in the community by donating money and/or assets. Donation is a wonderful way to have a lasting association with the ESU. Donations to the ESU are now tax deductible and you will be issued with a receipt from the National Trust of Queensland.
Donations are acknowledged in our newsletters and in our annual report.
Bequests
Bequests made to the ESU, of all sizes, assist to strengthen and develop the educational and community programs offered by the ESU. These gifts stand as a lasting tribute to the generosity and vision of the ESU’s benefactors. Bequests are usually made in a will. Making a gift to the ESU in your Will means that you have the use and enjoyment of your assets during your lifetime and also contribute to the future of the ESU. You can bequest an asset or a specific sum of money to the ESU.
The ESU wishes to acknowledge the support of its benefactors, and does so in its newsletter, annual report and website. Some may wish to remain anonymous. The ESU respects these wishes.

Volunteering
We do realise that asset or monetary donation is not always possible so please remember we gratefully welcome other forms of donations such as volunteering your time or skills to support ESU events and fundraising activities. Volunteering is an important part of the ESU’s charter and we certainly could not operate without the generosity and dedication of our wonderful volunteers. Volunteering can include spending a day in the office, cooking scones for open house and fundraising, providing guided tours for guests during the weekly open house, and helping to set up and clean up for events.
