ESU Queensland history
The ESU in Queensland was established in 1959 and regularly met at Government House with Mr H.G. Watson as president. Following a lapse of a few years, the Queensland Branch was re-established on 10 May 1968 at a meeting called at Government House by the Hon. Sir Alan Mansfield, with Mr Ralph Holden as president.

ESU today
Today the Queensland Branch is heavily involved in cultural, business, youth and educational programs, and actively fosters a vibrant volunteer community. The president, Emeritus Professor Caroline Hatcher, and the directors and ESU volunteers, work tirelessly to deliver the many activities on the calendar each year.
